Guardians of teens

Therapy for Teens

You're someone who feels like you have no one to talk to or like no one may understand what you're going through. You feel like life is so overwhelming that you are self-harming or have feelings of not “wanting to be here anymore.” You may not know where to start to talk about the challenges you're facing and the feelings that you're having.

I can provide empathy, understanding, and guide you through challenges by listening, truly seeking to understand you, and then teaching skills that work for you. I have a non-judgmental approach and I also love to bring art into sessions; sometimes art can help people express themselves when words aren't enough. For virtual sessions, my emotional support dog, Crash, will join us (usually off-screen)- sometimes he can really break the ice!

Happy group of friends

Therapy for Parents & Guardians

Have you noticed your teen is struggling to connect with you, their friends, family, and even with themselves? Maybe you’re concerned they’re harming themselves, using drugs, or engaging in risky behaviors. They may seem like they don’t have any hope or goals and have low self-confidence. There may be worries about what the future will hold. Maybe you are worried about having difficulties of your own while navigating parenting them.  You may be having a hard time navigating the school system and need assistance with finding resources.

You need a support person who has the clinical knowledge and experience to walk alongside you as you heal, find new ways to cope with not only your stress and anxiety, but your child's needs too. Together, we can strengthen your skills and confidence as a parent, brainstorm ways for you to support yourself, your child, and your other relationships, and make space for you to connect with yourself.

Therapy for Adults

You find it challenging to get through day-to-day life. There may be times that you feel you're at loss of where to turn or who to talk to. Maybe you're having difficulty meeting new people and you want to make new friends or community.  I can foster a safe place for you to process what is going on, talk about past experiences, and learn how to enjoy life again on your terms.

My personal goal is to become your biggest fan and provide you the support you need to make the changes you want. I have a way of being able to share skills with you that gives confidence and I will walk the journey with you-- not for you, or behind you, but right next to you. This support can give you a sense of ease when dealing with challenging times. I have a calm demeanor and am able to empathize deeply. Together, we can grow your self-esteem, highlight and rekindle your hopes for the future, and spark the drive to accomplish your goals.
